With the exhibition "Playgrounds," the Gallery for Contemporary Art Leipzig (GfZK) presents selected works from its own collection as well as invited artistic positions. In the historic rooms of the villa, artistic works are displayed that illuminate and make the theme of space tangible in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Connections between art, space, and society become perceptible. The focus is on the question of how art can open up new ways of thinking and acting, and what role it plays in societal negotiation processes. The exhibition invites visitors to view contemporary art from various perspectives and to discover the diverse expressive possibilities and creative potentials of the collection.
