Bergsingen - The Original on the Painter's Way

Once a year, people from Papstdorf, Kleinhennersdorf, Gohrisch, and far beyond flock to the meadow at Kleinhennersdorfer Stein. On this day, the Saxon Mountaineering Choir "Kurt Schlosser" from Dresden invites everyone to its traditional mountain singing – on foot, as cars are left aside. Already hours before the concert at 4 PM, the first attendees are choosing their spots in the sun. Visitors now come from other federal states and even from the Czech Republic, with travel agencies taking advantage of the event's appeal. Around 5,000 to 6,000 guests experience how singing, nature, and community come together in a unique harmony. The mountain singing is considered a highlight in the Saxon Switzerland – down-to-earth, without microphones or technology. Discipline and respect for nature are taken for granted: no litter, no traces left behind. Enthusiastic songs, joy of life, and hearty applause resonate through the mountains. And the choir? It is carried by the audience's sympathy.
