The Dohna-Schlobitten collection contains around 2,000 objects from the 16th to the 19th centuries, including paintings, graphics, books, sculptures, furniture, textiles, silver, glass, and porcelain. They once belonged to the inventory of Schlobitten Castle, the ancestral seat of the Burgraves, Counts, and Princes of Dohna-Schlobitten. The collection is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany and the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg, which was largely able to finance the acquisition of the art objects through donations from the German Lottery Foundation Berlin. The objects are being lent by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg to Doberlug.
