European Championship in Track Cycling for U19 and U23

The European Championships in track cycling for the U23 and U19 (junior) categories will once again take place in 2026 at the Lausitz Velodrom in Cottbus. This was confirmed on Tuesday by the European Cycling Union (UEC) and the organizer RSC Cottbus. Cottbus will step in as the host for Tel Aviv next year. The Israeli federation recently returned the championship to the UEC due to the security situation in the country. The event is scheduled for July 7 to 12. "We are very pleased to welcome the Olympic stars of the future and some of the currently best athletes back to Lausitz in 2026. The European Championships in 2024 in Cottbus were a great success – for the cyclists, for the spectators, and organizationally for us as a club. We aim to build on that – and hopefully take it even further," said event organizer Axel Viertler. Over the six days of competition, 44 decisions will be made again.
