Almost half of the approximately 5000 m² property is cultivated or used for gardening. Extensive areas are left to their own devices and are mowed a maximum of once a year. They serve as valuable retreats for birds, wild bees, and other wildlife such as hedgehogs and grass snakes. Paths are mowed into the meadow areas. There is a separate reed bed treatment plant with a small pond – a habitat for frogs and dragonflies – as well as many different, partly old fruit trees and berry bushes. A special feature is our two asparagus beds, where wildflowers and herbs are allowed to settle. Vegetables are grown in mixed cultivation, primarily in raised beds and two greenhouses.
