The garden of Annelene Smend is located in the middle of the Lower Oder Valley National Park at the Mühlenteich in Gartz (Oder). The garden directly borders the Gartzer Mühlenteich, providing excellent opportunities to observe swans, wild geese, ducks, coots, and herons. The focus of the garden is on six raised beds, vegetable patches (strawberry beds), a wildflower island, and a flower wall. The co-owner of the garden is a naturopath and offers recipes for processing (wild) herbs and (wild) plants for the kitchen and home pharmacy. Those interested can taste herb butter with nettle seeds.
