Open Gardens Uckermark: Nature Garden Blumberger Mühle

On 600 square meters, the nature garden at the NABU Nature Experience Center Blumberger Mühle offers insights and tips for hobby gardeners. It demonstrates how to attract native animals to your own garden with various design ideas. This includes nesting aids and habitats for birds, insects, and bats, as well as native wild plants that provide food, along with open ground areas for insects and birds. Brushwood and deadwood piles serve as hiding places, pantries, and sun islands. Additionally, there is a small wild corner where nature can develop freely. Many plants are attractive to both humans and animals. Six themed beds explain, among other things, night-scented plants, tea herbs, and edible wild vegetables.
