The Friedrich Hollaender Review An evening full of chanson, charm, and chutzpah! The trio of Dirk Rave (accordion & arrangements), Chanson-Nette (vocals), and Henry Nandzik (vocals & acting, known from La Cage aux folles and Charley’s Aunt) brings to life the vibrant world of Friedrich Hollaender – the genius composer between Berlin, Hollywood, and the cabaret Olympus – with great enthusiasm. Under the direction of Isabelle Gensior, Hollaender's work is rediscovered: witty, musically virtuosic, and lovingly irreverent. Quirky stories about child prodigies, hysterical goats, or classics like "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt" – here Hollaender's music is performed in a quirky, multi-voiced style reminiscent of the Comedian Harmonists, with original accordion arrangements.
