In a brutal nail bomb attack in Hamburg, Katja Şekerci's husband and her eight-year-old child lose their lives. The public prosecutor's office, police, and press suspect that it is either an Islamist-motivated act or a revenge act within the Turkish, Kurdish, or Albanian mafia. The family, victims of a brutal act of violence, becomes a scapegoat. The brutality and inhumanity of the act, along with the racist actions of the state apparatus, drive Katja to despair and fuel her anger. However, her best friend and lawyer does not give up and suspects that a terrorist act by Nazis is behind it all. Can there be justice in a society that divides and judges people based on their origin, discriminates against them because of their roots, and treats them with hatred? Does revenge become an option when the rule of law fails?
