London was THE city for Haydn: He lived there for four years and was immensely valued as a composer – so it’s no wonder that he composed some of his most successful symphonies, also known as the "London Symphonies," right in that place. The symphony we are going to hear today is truly an extraordinary masterpiece – particularly exciting is the story behind its name, which literally goes back to a miraculous event… Stay tuned, the revelation will follow in our family symphony concert.
