Symphony Concert: Miracles

An extraordinary debut: Giorgi Gigashvili, born in Tbilisi in 2000, is a pianist, jazz musician, and arranger. He performs in clubs as well as at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, demonstrating once again how versatile the classical concert can be. Together with François Leleux, he has put together a program that combines the music of Joseph Haydn with elements of jazz. Inspired by traditional folk melodies, Bohuslav Martinů allows romantic sound colors to duet with cheeky jazz motifs in his Sinfonietta. Keith Jarrett is undoubtedly one of the defining musicians of contemporary improvisation and also inspired Giorgi Gigashvili in his arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach's Concerto in D minor.
