Pentecost Concert: Musical Friendship

Rolando Villazón is not only a tenor but also a writer, director, and TV personality. With his unusual expressiveness, he is among the most influential artists of our time. François Leleux and Villazón share a long-standing musical friendship, which they will celebrate together in Potsdam. The program will open with the cheerful Symphony in A Major, where the exploratory handwriting of the young symphonist Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart resonates. Camille Saint-Saëns evokes musical memories of the Viennese Classical period in his Second Symphony and demonstrates what a universal and inquisitive artist he was.
