State Theatre Cottbus: Infinitely Long | Premiere

A music theater production by the youth club of the theater, "Time is a Funny Thing." Sometimes it is infinite, sometimes scarce, but it is always there. With its versatility, it would perform well in any job interview: it can fly by, stand still, stretch, slip away, freeze, flow, ... While children fear the abundance of time, adults long for it. And what about those in between? Our youth theater club explores time – the measurable presence of all things – and infinity – existence without boundaries, without limitations, the "forever," an idea we all carry in our hearts, even though it is physically impossible. The 13 to 18-year-olds have exactly 160 hours to grasp the oppositeness of the theme, to grow from everyday life into a stage situation, and to develop a music theater piece without a pre-written script, whose tempo does justice to time.
