The name Kurt Hübner is well known among art lovers in Senftenberg. In 2025, the artist's birthday will be celebrated for the 100th time. Originally from Proschwitz near the town of Gablonz, which is now in the Czech Republic, he moved to Lusatia after World War II. He spent over 60 years of his life in Senftenberg. Until his retirement, Kurt Hübner worked as a commercial graphic artist and led a painting and drawing circle in his free time for many decades. He personally preferred watercolor and working in nature. The region, the town, and its people are reflected in his works. The focus of our exhibition is on watercolor painting.
