Experience Tour: Circular hike on the "Western Route" of the Art Hiking Trail

Under the motto "Hiking and Wondering," contemporary art can be discovered in nature. Many art objects along the art hiking trail are inspired by the historical settlement of the region by people from Flanders. The western route of the art hiking trail includes scenic and cultural highlights, such as Wiesenburg Castle, the "7 Arches" of the Schlamauer Mountains, and the abandoned village of Groß Glien. Starting in Klein Glien at COCONAT, the hike begins with the "climb" to the summit of Hagelberg, the highest elevation in the Fläming region. From there, the trail leads through Schmerwitz and the Schlamauer Mountains to Wiesenburg. The starting point in Klein Glien is reached again via Borner Rummel and the ruins of Groß Glien. An early exit from the tour is possible in Wiesenburg after approximately 9 km of hiking. Registration is required. Sturdy shoes with a treaded sole and packed food are recommended.
