The Hobrechtsfeld Recreation Forest - a walkable forest pasture with a varied history

On this excursion, participants will discover traces of the former sewage fields along a route of approximately 10 km through Berlin's youngest and most unusual forest, as well as the largest wild pasture area. The oldest nature reserve in Berlin will be explored, and the Hobrechtsfelde estate will be introduced. In the recreational forest, artworks will be visited, and the attempts at the recultivation of the former sewage fields will be presented. These can even be viewed in soil microscope images. The focus of the course will be on experiencing the rewetting and grazing project. Observing protected animals and plants in the new forest, experiencing the flora and fauna of a moor, and the adventure on the secret path through the moor are highlights of this tour.
