The County Run 2026 offers a unique running experience through the historic County of Rietberg. The event connects the towns of Rietberg, Verl, and Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, allowing participants to actively experience the history of the region. Route overview: - 28.5 km individual run or hiking route: Starting at Gut Rietberg, passing by historical landmarks such as the town hall and Haus Münte, along the Ems River and through the Garden Show Park. The route continues through Westerwiehe, Kaunitz, and Liemke, before ending in Holter Wald and reaching the finish line at Jagdschloss Holte. - 10 km individual run: This compact route starts in Kaunitz and leads directly to the festive finish at Schloss Holte. - 3-person relay: Ideal for teams, where each runner takes on a segment of about 9 km.
