Kaleidoscope City Promenade. A Journey Through the Tumultuous History of a City Center

The city promenade – once the vibrant center of Cottbus/Chóśebuz, today a projection surface for memories, debates, and visions. Few other places in the city tell such a condensed story of departure and change, of longing and disappointment. From the medieval fortification ring through the Luckau suburb and the socialist city center to current questions of identity and future, it impressively reflects the societal, political, and cultural changes of the city. The collaborative work "Kaleidoscope City Promenade" invites you to rediscover this special place in the heart of Cottbus/Chóśebuz. Both the exhibition at BLMK and the comprehensive memory book present a multifaceted image of the promenade.
