Holiday Activity: "Light Painting"

Painting with Light – a fascinating photographic technique that can be experienced at the LVR Industrial Museum Textile Factory Cromford in Ratingen. Children aged 8 to 12 have the opportunity to dive into the world of light painting and create their own glowing artworks. After an introduction to the technique using iPads and flashlights, participants will design individual light brushes from materials such as straws, plexiglass, tracing paper, or glittering strings. In a darkened room, extraordinary, brightly glowing images are created in the air by painting with these light brushes, which are captured on the iPads. The event takes place in the historic setting of the Textile Factory Cromford, which is considered the first mechanized cotton spinning mill on the European mainland. The museum offers additional holiday activities alongside the light painting workshop, providing creative and educational experiences. Registration is required as the number of participants is limited. Tickets can be booked through the museum's webshop. It is recommended to wear suitable clothing for crafting.
