Delitzsch Advent Market

A pre-Christmas paradise awaits visitors from December 5 to 7, 2025, at the Delitzsch Advent Market. International specialties, handcrafted artworks, and a varied family program promise an Advent weekend full of delights, scents, and atmospheric moments. More than 80 stalls entice with delicacies such as Salzwedel Baumkuchen, Trdelník, Takoyaki (Japanese street food), Chatschapuri (Georgian cheese bread), macarons, poffertjes, flammlachs, lángos, mulled gin, and hemp eggnog – culinary highlights from around the world that have made the Advent market well-known far beyond the region. Glassblowers, woodworkers, ceramicists, fashion manufacturers, and other artisans present their unique creations and invite visitors to marvel and browse. In the event house "Markt Zwanzig," guests can also find a weather-protected indoor area with even more handcrafted unique items, delicate Christmas ornaments, Christmas pyramids, and special gift ideas. A continuous program featuring live music and festive sounds on the market stage creates a celebratory atmosphere. For children, in addition to carousel and train rides, there is also the popular free playmobile on the afternoons of the weekend. The dates for the upcoming year are subject to change.
