Around Easter (jatšy), there are the most customs. To this day, decorating Easter eggs is firmly rooted in the annual traditions of the Sorbs/Wends. Wax, scratching, and etching techniques are widely used. During the Easter season, you can watch the locals in the Spreewald decorate Easter eggs or even try it yourself. The annual Easter workshop at the House of Encounter offers an opportunity for this. In addition to decorating Easter eggs, you can also felt or create glass mosaics under guidance.
