"Two Sisters in Search of Great Happiness" In the Spreewald, things are bustling in September as pumpkins and cucumbers are harvested and even transported by boat to Berlin for sale. However, the two "Lehdschen" washerwomen, Burgunde and Mechthilde, often struggle to make ends meet, barely earning a red heller for their day's work. This sparks the idea of acquiring their own boat to achieve wealth through the sale of vegetables. The two come up with all sorts of ideas to secure the necessary funds for purchasing a boat, laying the groundwork for their business. !! Laughter guaranteed !!
