Advent Glow at the Upper Mill in Bad Düben

In the atmospheric setting of the Obermühle Bad Düben, a diverse Advent program unfolds at the end of November: On Saturdays and Sundays, the demonstration workshops — including printing, spinning, lace-making, basket weaving, and shoemaking — open their doors and invite visitors to participate in hands-on activities, demonstrations, and discussion rounds. In the library, storytelling for children takes place hourly from 3 PM, accompanied by creative crafting offers. Guided tours of the watermill and the rope factory are also held every hour. Musical highlights include a communal Christmas carol singing (with karaoke) in the mill courtyard at 5:15 PM, as well as Advent music performed by the brass players of the Kurrende Bad Düben on Sunday at 4:00 PM. Culinary delights are provided with bread from the stone oven, regional beverages, cakes, doughnuts, and a large grill stand. Additionally, festive gift items from local vendors enhance the experience. The dates for the upcoming year are subject to change.
