The film "Niki" by director Céline Sallette sheds light on the tumultuous life of the French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle. Charlotte Le Bon portrays the artist, who moves from the USA to France in the 1950s with her husband and daughter. Despite the physical distance, she is haunted by memories of her childhood. In her art, she ultimately finds a means of self-liberation. The film premiered in the "Un Certain Regard" section at the Cannes Film Festival 2024.
