Photo Exhibition: Time Flakes – Lost Places in Europe

Carina Landgraf, born in 1980 in Dresden, now residing in Lusatia – a regional photographer with a passion for forgotten places. In her second exhibition – here at the Hoyerswerda Castle – Carina Landgraf presents impressive Lost Places from Germany and many European countries – from Belgium to Italy to Hungary. Her images are time capsules full of past splendor – melancholic, poetic, reclaimed by nature. Her aim is to capture the "time flakes" of these places – not as macro shots of decay, but as an atmosphere, as a trace of time that is palpable in every room. The peeling walls, the dust, the light – they become part of a greater whole that makes transience tangible. Thus, photographs are created where the visible and the invisible meet.
