"35 Years Since the Fall of the Wall – 35 Years of Reunification" Two men who couldn't be more different yet share much in common - Gregor Gysi and Toni Krahl. They have known each other since their youth, and to this day, their paths cross for various reasons time and again. Furthermore, there is another commonality: Their hearts beat left!!! Toni Krahl once said about the City album "Casablanca" that it was "the soundtrack to the downfall of the GDR." This statement serves as a starting point for a conversation between Toni Krahl and Gregor Gysi about the time before the Wende (the German reunification), about fulfilled hopes and dreams, but also about those that had to be buried. Memories are awakened of a homeland that no longer exists in this form. But also of opportunities and possibilities that arose from the "silver lining on the horizon" and became a success story.
