23rd Provincial - Eberswalde Film Festival

For months, the projectors and screens in the program committee of the Provinziale have been running to review the submitted entries. The 15-member team has examined, discussed, and carefully selected from around 550 submissions from 57 countries. A total of 33 films made it into the competition, including seven feature-length documentaries, seven short documentaries, eight animations, and eleven short fiction films. The competition films come from 18 countries, including Switzerland, Bulgaria, Cuba, Greece, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Argentina, France, Italy, Canada, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Portugal, Denmark, and Iran. The event series will conclude after eight days with a festive closing celebration, featuring an award ceremony, winning films, a reception, and live music on October 17, 2026.
