The Hoeker Festival, a staple of the Herford event calendar since 1973, is one of the largest city festivals in East Westphalia-Lippe. Each year, it transforms the Herford city center into a vast open-air party zone, attracting up to 200,000 visitors. The traditional festival offers a diverse program: live music on multiple stages, regional and international cuisine, as well as interactive activities for all age groups, ensuring a lively atmosphere. The entire city center becomes an open, freely accessible stage. For many residents of Herford, the Hoeker Festival is a fixed date in their calendar. Former residents also take the opportunity to return to their hometown and celebrate together with old friends. The next Hoeker Festival will take place from July 15 to July 19, 2026.
