Habib Benedikt Elias, known for his participation in the award-winning documentary "Rhythm is it," presents a multifaceted solo program at the Lippstadt City Theater. His repertoire includes jazz, chansons, bossa nova, and other genres, performed in German, English, French, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish. He masterfully combines his skilled jazz singing with influences from great film music compositions. The audience embarks on a musical journey that tells stories from Count Basie, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Charles Aznavour, as well as interpretations of Charlie Chaplin's "Smile" to "Al otro lado del rio." An evening full of musical sophistication awaits the listeners.
