Special Exhibition until May 3, 2026 Mole, Sandman, Pittiplatsch – which little heroes could not be missing from any children's room in the 1960s, 70s, and 80s? Did the beloved train set, the toy store, or perhaps a dollhouse make your heart race? Did you have your own room, or did you have to share your "little kingdom" with siblings? Every children's room looked different, yet there are surprisingly many similarities. From the contents of the wardrobe to children's books, from furniture to children's films to toys, the exhibition traces the everyday world of children in the GDR.
