At the beginning of April, world cyclist Thomas Meixner set off to explore the far north of Europe with his new expedition bike "Rosinante." Starting from Bitterfeld, he crossed Poland and the Baltics, took a ferry to Helsinki, and then made his way through eastern Finland to the Arctic. He explored the wild north of Norway and finally reached the North Cape, as well as the northernmost point of the so-called Iron Curtain at the Russian border. The many unique natural experiences particularly shaped this adventurous tour; however, the cyclist also faced extreme weather conditions, such as cold, storms, and heavy rainfall.
