In the classic Sorbian wax batik technique, hot candle wax is used to keep patterns free during dyeing. The applied wax is melted off again after dyeing, revealing the underlying layers of color. In the course, beginners will learn the basic technique and gain insights into the production of the working tools as well as cultural and historical backgrounds of the classic motifs and patterns on the egg. Please bring 6 uncooked white chicken eggs. A four-piece feather set for applying wax is included in the price. Registration is required. For more information: Workshops & Courses.
