History is being made. But for 21-year-old Alex, nothing is moving forward. Just before the fall of the Berlin Wall, his mother falls into a coma after a heart attack and misses the triumph of capitalism. When she miraculously opens her eyes again after eight months, she awakens in a new country. She must not learn about any of this: her weak heart is too fragile. To save his mother, Alex now resurrects the GDR in a 79-square-meter prefab apartment. More information: Cultural Summer.
