From Jakob Nolte to Cervantes The New Globe Theater is once again presenting Don Quijote across Germany, in an adaptation for the German Theater Berlin. Two passionate actors and Rüdiger Krause on guitar transform the stage into a world full of adventure, poetry, and humor. Inspired by Cervantes’ novel, the production tells the story of an idealistic young man who fights against windmills that he believes to be giants. Sancho Panza is his loyal, wise squire. The performance thrives on contrasts: the deep humanity and humor of Sancho stand in stark contrast to the tragicomedy of Quijote.
