During the Easter holidays, the Westphalian Salt Worlds transform into an interactive bakery where children explore the central importance of salt in the baking process. Through practical experiments, the young participants discover how salt enhances flavor, optimizes dough structure, and supports yeast activity. They investigate the role of baking powder in conjunction with salt and learn about the effects of omitting certain ingredients on the baking outcome. With simple recipes, the children collaboratively create delicious baked goods while deepening their understanding of the chemical processes involved in baking. This program is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 and offers an educational as well as entertaining holiday activity.
