The "Fair of Yesteryear" at the LVR Open-Air Museum in Kommern offers a unique insight into the history of popular entertainment. The event showcases attractions from various eras, including a carousel with jumping horses from 1885, mechanical shooting galleries from the late 19th century, and Germany's oldest caterpillar ride from 1926. A diverse program of acrobatics featuring high-caliber artists complements the offerings. For children, there are historical skill games and a puppet theater available. The fair is closed on Good Friday, but the museum remains open.
