The guided hike along the northern route of the Monastery Trail offers a unique opportunity to experience the spiritual connection between the Abbey of Königsmünster in Meschede and the Mountain Monastery of Bestwig. The route mainly follows agricultural paths and smaller, paved roads, and includes two more challenging ascents before Eversberg and Föckinghausen. In the afternoon, a stop is planned in Föckinghausen before the path predominantly descends to the Mountain Monastery of Bestwig. Sturdy footwear is recommended, and depending on the weather, sufficient drinks should be brought along. After arriving in Bestwig, there are return options to Meschede using public transportation. Prior registration is not required.
