TRAGICOMEDY BY FRIEDRICH DÜRRENMATT The brilliant physicist Möbius has withdrawn from the world to a luxurious mental sanatorium. He knows that his formulas could ultimately mean the destruction of the world. In the same sanatorium, two other seemingly "insane" individuals are also locked up. One believes he is Einstein, the other thinks he is Isaac Newton. Beneath their masquerade, they hide their true identities. One is a representative of the Western intelligence service, the other of the Eastern intelligence service. They have learned about Möbius' physical discoveries and each wants to win him over to their side. Möbius succeeds in convincing both that there is only one right way: Although they are all sane, they must remain in the sanatorium as "madmen" to spare the world the dreadful consequences of their discoveries. ...
