Citizen Stage Frankenstein

It’s that time: We are starting the next season and have come up with what we believe is an incredibly exciting new project. As already announced, we want to take on a classic and dress it in a new, contemporary guise. This time, the direction is in the hands of Janette Mickan and Benjamin Berger together. Janette Mickan is no stranger to BT; she has previously been a guest with her theater collective "LUNATIKS" and the project "Blühende Randschaften." Now she is returning to work together with Benjamin Berger on Mary Shelley’s "Frankenstein." Benjamin Berger writes about his interest in the material: "What fascinates me about 'Frankenstein' is this insane mix of megalomania, longing, and irresponsibility. A person creates life – and fails to bear the consequences. There is so much of today in that: genetics, AI, biotechnology – we can do more and more, but are we really allowed to do everything?"
