In a small group of a maximum of 4 people, an individual metal product is forged under professional guidance. The focus is on collaborative craftsmanship. After a historical overview of the blacksmithing trade and its significance, an introduction to the workshop takes place. At the open forge, the iron is heated and shaped with a hammer on the anvil. Various blacksmithing techniques are developed together. There are no limits to creativity, whether it’s a candlestick, grilling tongs, a fork, a door knocker, a rose, or figures. The possibilities are vast. Note: Knives, pans, axes, and swords are not forged.
