Fifty years ago, the last gas lantern in Babelsberg was extinguished. At that time, hardly anyone took notice, and to this day, street lighting only stands out when it fails. Our special exhibition is dedicated to the nighttime companions, such as the "Potsdam Egg," the "Suitcase," or the "Cooking Pot." Join us on a journey through the centuries, when "lights in the streets" were still a rarity or when electric power brought a whole new brightness to the night. Turn on the light in the dark season! A cooperation project with Stadtbeleuchtung Potsdam GmbH.
