The DRESDNER RESIDENZ ORCHESTER presents the concert "Vivaldi – The Four Seasons," arranged for chamber orchestra. The four most famous violin concertos by the Italian composer, who was also known as the "Red Priest," together form the cycle "The Four Seasons." This masterpiece was composed in 1725 for the orchestra of a girls' orphanage and is among the most well-known pieces in European music history. Therefore, we celebrate in 2025: 300 years of "Vivaldi – The Four Seasons." The four violin concertos take you on an emotionally charged journey through nature. Whether it's the chirping of birds in spring, a thunderous summer storm, a joyful harvest festival, or the gentle falling of snowflakes – each concerto portrays a season.
