Summer concert

The Detmold Orchestra Society e.V., founded in 1989, offers ambitious musicians the opportunity to further develop their orchestral skills acquired during their studies. As the only fully staffed symphony orchestra in the Detmold region, it enables adult music enthusiasts to work on and perform demanding symphonic programs. Under the direction of Robert Lillinger, who has held the conductor's position since July 2024, the orchestra regularly presents concerts that include both classical and lesser-known works. Lillinger, trained in Vienna in piano, conducting, musicology, and historically informed performance practice, brings his extensive experience from engagements at renowned festivals and theaters. The concerts of the Detmold Orchestra Society are a fixed part of the cultural life and offer a multifaceted musical experience.
