The weekly market in Brakel has developed into a central meeting point that strengthens the local community. Every Friday, about 15 vendors enliven the historic marketplace as well as the adjacent streets Hanekamp and Ostheimer Straße with a diverse range of offerings. This includes flowers, fruits, vegetables, potatoes, honey, eggs, poultry, meat, fish, sausages, Greek specialties, as well as bread and baked goods. Additionally, household goods, wool, and knitting supplies are offered. The market not only provides high-quality products but also the opportunity to exchange news and maintain social contacts in a friendly atmosphere over a cup of coffee or a fresh waffle.
