"Walking meeting" or "walking group"

The "Walking Meetup" in Borchen is an initiative of the Borchen municipality in collaboration with the project team of the "Healthy Municipality," which consists of the Paderborn district, the Paderborn District Sports Association e.V., and the Techniker Krankenkasse. The aim of this project is to promote social interaction through joint walks and to actively explore the living environment. The walks are accompanied by trained "walking mentors" who plan senior-friendly routes and ensure that participants are active for about an hour. The selected routes are barrier-free and thus suitable for individuals with walkers or wheelchairs. The meetups take place regularly, although the exact schedule and times may vary. Interested individuals should therefore check the current dates in the event calendar of the Borchen municipality. The meeting point is usually at the Borchen Town Hall. This offer is aimed at everyone who enjoys moving together and wants to make new contacts. Participation is free of charge and does not require prior registration.
