Elementary School Cabaret: "At the Desk of Time"

The Paderborn teacher cabaret "Lehrgut" presents its fourth program, "At the Podium of Time," which sheds light on everyday school life with satirical sharpness. The four performers, Andreas Potthast, Anne Cordes, Reinhild Wode, and Thomas Polzin, take the audience into the Gotthilf-Fischer-Memorial-Primary-School (GFGGS), where innovations are often implemented in quirky ways. Janitor Heinz Krabottke discovers his passion for zoology, while the OGS director, Ms. Hüte-Hund, initiates a pilot project for 24-hour care during the holidays. School secretary Uschi Schafferhans expands her hours through a novel knowledge-based system. Light swimming lessons and the use of tablets in the "small subjects" are further innovations in the concept "Keeping Up with the Times." Professor Dr. Dr. Peter Glocke sees a need for action in the area of German cultural heritage from a biological perspective. The program is enriched by fitting songs, loving choreography, and interactive actions. The performance takes place in the historic Niedermühle in Büren, a cultural and meeting center that regularly hosts concerts and other events. An evening that humorously highlights the absurdities of school life and encourages reflection.
