Hans Albers was much more than the cliché of the singing sailor: as an outstanding male Ufa star, he stands on par with Marlene Dietrich and the Comedian Harmonists. His singing style inspired artists like Udo Lindenberg, Rio Reiser, and Herbert Grönemeyer. His authentic, direct acting significantly shaped German sound film. His role in the films of the Third Reich was controversial; he was both utilized and hated by "Dr. Goebbels," as Albers mockingly referred to the propaganda minister. Experience a thrilling journey through a life full of ups and downs, accompanied by well-known songs like "Komm auf die Schaukel, Luise," "Hoppla, jetzt komm ich," or "La Paloma." Dirk Wittun and Wolfgang Völkl also present lesser-known musical treasures from Albers' repertoire. Dirk Wittun is a versatile artist: actor, singer, musician, as well as songwriter and musical author, known for his comedic talent. For many years, he has successfully toured Germany with his Hans Albers evening, accompanied by musician Wolfgang Völkl. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience the multifaceted life and work of Hans Albers in a professional performance.
