Play: Tom Quaas The Whole Faust – Slightly Abridged

Tom Quaas has set out to present nothing less than the entire work, slightly abridged. Under the direction of Thomas Förster (known for his productions at Scharfenberg Castle), the famous lines will be performed and read as a scenic work, bringing the magic of voice to life. Puppetry, elements of black light theater, and music by composer Peter Andreas will create a unique world and an unparalleled auditory and visual experience. Alongside Tom Quaas, the versatile Paula Henke will perform on stage. "Tom Quaas is both Faust and Mephisto, a split personality that seems to converse with itself. But how: The actor often changes characters simply by turning his body, committing murder and seduction, demanding and despairing. The way Quaas works with gesture, facial expression, and voice is magnificent." (Sächsische Zeitung) The versatile actor and director has been engaged at the State Theater Dresden, the German Theater Berlin, and the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. He regularly performs at the Societaetstheater in Dresden and on the theater barge, as well as at Batzdorf Castle near Meißen, where he resides. The play is also suitable for teenagers from grade 8!
