The queen triumphantly gazes at herself in the mirror, confident that it will respond as usual: "My queen, you are the fairest here!" But this time, she receives the reply: "...but Snow White is a thousand times more beautiful than you!" Why is the girl a thousand times more beautiful than her stepmother? Is it because Snow White is young and the stepmother is old? Does the mirror only speak of outer beauty, or does it also reflect the inner self, the soul? Is Snow White a kind, cheerful girl, innocent and pure, while the queen is full of cunning, malice, and envy? When the queen decides to get rid of the girl, Snow White's adventures begin… with the huntsman, the seven dwarfs, and hopefully, in the end, a prince who is truly "beautiful" at heart as well.
