Folk in the River 2026: Lind

What happens when a jazz-loving brass player, a heavy metal-loving string player, and a forest zither-playing traditionalist meet and are determined to make music together? Lind is born, a group that likes to describe their style as symphonic tavern pop or timeless Trad n Roll. The genre of the trio cannot be described more simply, as the protagonists come from completely different worlds. Lind's music is characterized by technical finesse, wild joy of playing, and a touch of melancholy. It is a mix of self-written songs, classical adaptations, and increasingly respectful arrangements of traditional pieces from Thuringia and Saxony. These often include Rundas from the Vogtland, which spread raw joy of life and rural anarchy. Despite all the virtuosity, the whole experience is highly entertaining and captivating.
